Mayor 1951 - 1955 - George Allen Rhodus

George Allen Rhodus served as Mayor of Lawson 1933 – 1936 and 1951 – February 15, 1955.

He was born July 18, 1892, the son of George Allen and Rose Ella (Rogers) Rhodus. In 1955 he resigned as mayor to become the superintendent of the Lawson water system, a position he held for 16 years before retiring in 1972.

He lived in Lawson his entire lifetime. On January 21, 1979 he died at age 86 and was buried in Lawson Cemetery.
