Mayor 1986 - 1991 - Geraldine “Gerrie” F. Anderson

Geraldine “Gerrie” F. Anderson served as Mayor of Lawson 1986 – 1991, the first and only female mayor to date.

She was born December 10, 1935 in Kansas City, the daughter of Lester and Nina (Rosser) Mathews. She was a lifelong area resident.

Gerrie died June 27, 2002 and was buried in Resurrection North Cemetery in Kansas City.
