Rollie Elmer Hartman was acting Mayor of Lawson March 1 to April 1955 and served as an alderman for 30 years.
He was born May 13, 1894 at Elmo, Kansas, the son of John and Roletta (Dautel) Hartman. He married Winnie Hamilton on September 5, 1917.
He became a druggist obtaining his license in 1918. During World War I he served as a regiment druggist, Medical Attachment, 210th Engineers.
On November 15, 1959 he died at Excelsior Springs Hospital at the age of 65 and was buried in Lawson Cemetery.
