Acting Mayor 1960 - Walter Gaines Moss

Walter Gaines Moss was acting Mayor of Lawson in 1960 and was serving his third term on the Lawson city council when he died.

Moss was born August 16, 1883 in Ray County, the son of Oscar White and Ella May (Sanderson) Moss. A retired merchant from Claycomo, Moss lived in Lawson 15 years. He married Ella Hunt on March 2, 1902.

On February 24, 1963 Moss died in Richmond and was buried in Old Union Cemetery.
